What is the Chains Council?
The IH&RA Chains Council is comprised of Senior Corporate Executives of Member national hotel and/or restaurant chains from all over the world. (see Membership directory for list of participating companies)
Chains Council members meet to discuss priority issues affecting chains in the countries or regions in which they operate and to direct IH&RA on those issues which require international monitoring and lobbying. Confronted with similar challenges such as corporate strategic planning and brand management, Chains Council participants share information on non-competitive issues to improve their knowledge of the international environment
Chain and NACE Members come together for a combined part of their respective meetings to review issues of common concern to both categories of membership.
These meetings are held twice a year – once in conjunction with the IH&RA annual congress in the later part of the year, and once in a stand-alone meeting in the earlier part of the year.
Meetings in 2006 The spring IH&RA Chains Council Meeting will take place in Berlin on 8 March, 2006 ; the autumn meeting will take place in conjunction with the Annual Congress.
