It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the loss on 03 November of our dear friend and fellow IH&RA member Gabor Lombosi. Gabor this year celebrated his 35th year as an IH&RA member. He was not only an outstanding hospitality professional and industry leader he was a great supporter and friend to IH&RA members worldwide.

Gabor and his family attended the IH&RA meetings held in Nice, France on 27-28 October. On the evening of 27 October, IH&RA welcomed Gabor as a Chevalier to the League of the International Hotel & Restaurant Industry - the “Confrérie Internationale des Amis de l’Hôtellerie et de la Restauration” - the IH&RA award that recognizes members and industry leaders for their outstanding service and achievements to the global hospitality industry.

Gabor, a former Chairman of the IH&RA NACE Council, was full of life, joy and laughter that evening. He will be greatly missed but always remembered as a very close friend, supporter and great leader in hospitality.

We know that IH&RA members share in our sadness and join us in expressing our condolences to Gabor’s family, his colleagues at the Hotel Association of Hungary and to his many friends and loved ones around the world.
