Alain-Philippe Feutré

Alain-Philippe served as IH&RA CEO from 2000-2004, marking over forty years of service to the hospitality industry and over twenty years dedicated to professional associations. Previous to his appointment as IH&RA CEO, Mr. Feutré served as IH&RA Vice-President from 1996-2000, and before that 2 years as Vice-President Europe (1996-1998).

For fourteen years, Mr. Feutré served as President and CEO of the Syndicat Français de l’Hôtellerie. He also served as Vice-President of the Union des Métiers et des Industries de l’Hôtellerie (UMIH) and President of HOTREC, the Confederation of National Hotel and Restaurant Associations in the European Union.

Since 1975, Mr. Feutré has held offices in various French government bodies and owned and managed hotels in Paris, St. Tropez and Deauville. In recognition of his services he was made Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite in France (1991). IH&RA is proud to welcome Mr. Feutré back as a member of the IH&RA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, representing the Royal Regency International Hotels.

Gabor Lombosi

Gabor Lombosi, a former Chairman of NACE, celebrated his 35th year as an IH&RA member in 2006 and over 46 years in the hospitality industry. Gabor served as Secretary-General of the Hotel Association of Hungary since 1993, having worked as General Manager of the Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest for some 20 years. This IH&RA Confrerie Award adds to Gabor’s many accolades. This year, Gabor received the Golden Cross of the Hungarian Republic by the President of Hungary and was also the recipient of the Pro Tourismo Award from the Minister of Tourism of Hungary and the Hungarian Association’s Otto Marencich Plaquet.

It is with great shock and sadness that IH&RA learned that Gabor Lombosi passed away on 03 November, only one week after celebrating with his friends and IH&RA members in Nice. Gabor will be greatly missed, but always remembered as a good friend and, above all, an outstanding leader and innovator for the hospitality industry worldwide.
