Mr Boujbel, who was a graduate of the International Institute of Glion, Switzerland, was an active and dedicated hospitality professional. Founder and Chairman of the Abou Malek Hotel Management Company and of Tunisia Holiday Travel, he was elected three times to the Tunisian National Assembly. His many-faceted career reflects his genuine concern to promote the tourism industry of Tunisia and develop contacts with professionals around the globe.
Among his many positions he was President of the Asian-Tunisian Parliamentary Friendship Association and of the Japanese-Tunisian Parliamentary Friendship Association, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Friendship Association of Finland and of the Maltese-Tunisian Parliamentary Friendship Association, as well as Vice-President of the Euro-Mediterranean Tourism Association. All these positions reflect his interest in the international scene and his strong commitment to international co-operation.
Mr Kamel Boujbel will be remembered as a valued member of IH&RA. His contribution will be missed.
