HOTEL CLASSIFICATION

IH&RA Action

WTO has formally indicated that it is not seeking to set up an international hotel classification scheme; ISO has also indicated that it is not interested in pursuing this issue, although it is pursuing the issue of standards for tourism services.
IH&RA will continue to follow this issue closely and to oppose moves for any standard drafting activity concerning hotels or restaurants which could provide the basis for an international hotel classification scheme.
