VISITING PROFESSOR PROGRAMME

HOST HOTELS

How to participate

If you would like to be considered as a host hotel for a week long Visiting Professor programme, you must be able to provide:

  • A training room for a minimum of 20 students
  • Training materials such as flip charts and power point screens if required by the lecturer
  • Morning and afternoon tea breaks and a light finger lunch for participants
  • Full room and board for a week for the Visiting Professor

UNIVERSITIES & HOTEL SCHOOLS

How to participate

If you would like to send a Visiting Professor to a developping
country to deliver a week-long programe from your curriculum,
you will be asked to consider the following:

  • An economy class only fare will be provided for
    the travelling lecturer
  • Professional fees will be paid to the University or
    Hotel School
The visiting Professor will provide photocpies of any required
reading material or similar paperwork.

PROGRAMME SPONSORS

How to participate

If you would like to sponsor a Visiting Professor programme
you will be asked to provide:

  • Your logo for use on the certifi cates in-country
  • Funds for the Visiting Professor's fees

STUDENTS

How to participate

If you are considering applying for an in-country programme,
the following are base criteria:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a management
    position in a hotel or restaurant
  • Preferred age 24-35
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • A recommendation from your employer as to your
    suitability for the programme
  • Ability to travel to and from the host hotel each day
    and provide your own accommodation
